I have been finding working in my new computer room very relaxing. I think I'm really going to like it here. It's a little cramped but hopefully I will just feel closer to my ancestors then. So far I haven't felt any of them come visit. Maybe I'm looking to hard for them. They always come visiting when your not expecting them. It's just so lonely without them! (Sigh!)

I was working on my database using the Legacy IGI search to view all the matches it located for me. I decided it was time to update my tiny flash drive (250 MB) with my Legacy file. Boy was that a mistake. I couldn't figure out why it kept saying the file was to large to copy. I always copy my whole Legacy folder over with about 6 previous backups in the file. I kept deleting older backups until I was down to the last one. I knew that wasn't right. Everything should fit.

Then the light bulb came on. What about my IGI matches - it must be saving that somewhere? Sure enough that was the problem I had a file in my Legacy folder with an IGI extension to it, which was over 258 MB large! My whole database zip file is only 6.6 MB. It just reminded me how much work I need to go over with the searches it found. I have to try and look at it on the bright side and realize all the time and effort the Legacy IGI Search feature has saved me - I only have to look at the results. Well I can tell myself that but right now from where I'm sitting it's a large task in front of me. Well I'm up to it so back to the old IGI grinding wheel.

See ya tomorrow, for tomorrow is always another genealogy day!
