I just received the following email from Dallan Quass, creator of WeRelate website. WeRelate is a free web search engine and wiki for genealogy. Their goal is to help you discover and share information about your ancestors.

Hi Renee,

I wanted to let you know that I've added the ability to display the sources matching a search on a Google map http://www.WeRelate.org/sources. You can see a map of vital records sources for Minnesota for example by entering Minnesota in the Place field, Vital in the Keywords field, and clicking on the "Map" button.  The sources include the items in the FHLC, so this makes for an interesting way to search the FHLC.  (Not all sources have been geocoded yet; non-geocoded sources are displayed underneath the map.)

It's an experimental feature -- just launched today, and I'd be interested in getting your (and others') comments and feedback.

I think he has a good thing going here. Sure is a nice reference tool to play around with. It's incredible how many web pages this thing is searching. Give it a spin and send Dallan Quass your feedback.

See ya tomorrow, for tomorrow is always another genealogy day!
