I am very tired, I guess to much running around this week. Yesterday I went to MyFamily.com to participate in their Usability Lab. For compensation I get three free months to Ancestry :)

During Lab time you are being filmed and the screen is recorded and a person is there asking questions and typing in information onto their laptop. You need to explain your thought process and tell what you are thinking all the time. I was talking non-stop for a good hour. I do a lot of thinking, I also gave them my suggestions to improve the site. The guy testing me said he had so much good information/notes from me he wished he didn't have to do anyone else that day. The part we were testing was a new feature where you can go to say a census record and see all the other things that link to that person, other censuses, social security death index, whatever. The person submitting their trees to Ancestry can link all that information together so others can see it and add photo, videos and stories to it. I think it is a nice new feature. I have no idea when it will come out.

After the Lab I was exhausted. I came home and slept for a while and I still am tired. Later that night I went with Teresa to a camping store in American Fork. They had a lot of preparedness stuff on sale. They had a really good sale on a portable stove for $12.99. I bought it and 2 cans of fuel. I feel so much better now that I have a way to cook if the power goes out.

Well as you can tell I am still tired, after I finish this blog entry I am going to bed. I have done a little on my Weatherwax file off the Pedigree Resource File. It is slow going trying to have the locality information entered correctly. I am having to enter the cemetery information now. After the localities are correct I should be able to merge it into my database. That will be interesting.

Well thats all for now.
