Discover the Magic of Family History!
The Northern Utah Family History Conference

Wow! What a miracle year we have had and we really want to share with you some amazing experiences that are coming our way.

As a sponsor of major conferences and events, My Ancestors Found is currently planning top notch Family History Conferences in St. George, Utah; Ogden, Utah; Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Logan, Utah.

Last February more than 2,500 people participated in our annual Jamboree at the St. George Dixie Center! Right at the last minute the LDS Family History Department called and asked if they could do a major announcement on their new Internet Indexing project. We were Super Excited and Energized by this request! They were introducing new technology to allow you and I to become involved in indexing the world’s records right from our home computers. How exciting is that!?? You had to be there to sign up for this opportunity and to participate in more than 120 classes from scrapbooking to finding your long lost Irish ancestor. And we’re dong it again in 2007!

In just one month, Oct. 6-7, we are having a similar event in Ogden, Utah – the Northern Utah Family History Conference – and you’ll want to be there! We will offer exciting presenters and exhibitors from all over the United States. Here are a few of the highlights:

  • Elder Marlin K. Jensen will be presenting in our opening session. Elder Jensen is a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, the LDS Church historian/recorder and the executive director of the Church and Family History Department.
  • DearMYRTLE, "your friend in genealogy," is our Friday evening dinner speaker. DearMYRTLE is the nom de plume of Pat Player Richley, author of  DearMYRTLE's Joy of Genealogy and The Everything Online Genealogy Book.
  • “Remember the Tears,” presented in the Egyptian Theater, offers original vignettes, music, and art telling the stories of tragedy, humor, romance, and triumph of the belated Mormon pioneer companies of 1856. Written by Jolene Allphin and Sherryl Fowers. Seating will be limited.
  • Professional Instructors will help you learn what you need to get off and running with your family history research. Enjoy classes like Wagon Trains and Indian Fights, PAF computer lab, Joy of Genealogy, Opening the Granite Mountain Vault, Care and Repair of Photographs, Tracing Ladies, and more!
  • Vendors and Exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall include RootsMagic, Legacy, Passage Express, AniMap, Ohana Software, Rootstamps.net, Legacy & Light, Dee’s Ts, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, LifeStory Productions, and the list goes on.
  • Door Prizes from our vendors and advertisers offer some really great gifts to registered attendees, from a one week retreat at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City with a professional researcher for guidance, to software, books, t-shirts and more.

Come and participate in this unique opportunity to learn, have fun, meet new people, and get motivated to do more than ever before with your family history.  This is an unprecedented bargain for only $45.00, and the benefits are priceless!

Share this message with your family, friends, and neighbors through cyberspace so everyone can have an opportunity to participate in the Northern Utah Family History Conference. They will thank you for helping them discover their family history.
