I attended the Executive Board Meeting for the Utah Valley PAF User Group last night. http://www.uvpafug.org (I take the minutes.) One assignment I was given was to email everyone on the book I found on-line through the Family History Library Catalog. I thought that would also be something of interest to post on my blog. I just copied an earlier email I had sent others after the conference and here is a copy of the info:
I went to the vendors exhibits at the FGS conference last week. (8 Sept 2005) I was excited about the FamilySearch.org booth for two reasons. One, most of you have already heard is the new online indexing of all the microfilms in the granite vault. The second I haven't heard much news about. That is FamilySearch's Family History Library Catalog now has links to books that are on BYU's Library online database. When looking for a book if you happen to see a red link, click on it, and it will take you straight to the book. Not all of them are done but I actually found one of mine last night. If you search the FHLC for the book "Brayton Family History" by Clifford Ross Brayton, you will get to see the book on line. Thanks FHL you just made my job that much easier!
If you search the FHLC *family history library catalog* http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/F

*look for the wording "To view a digital version of this book click "*
